OUR PROGRAMS

Programs developed around the Museum and Archives are to be as follows:

Book Club - A quarterly meeting where members will read a book selected from the Vivian collection and then attend a webinar lead by academics to discuss the reading.

Awards Dinner - Honoring authors who fall in the Vivians' area of literary interest, the awards dinner will be an annual event. Book review editors from multiple publications will advise the winners each year.

Books on Tape - Each year, a certain number of books from the collection will be recorded and released in audiobook format. This will increase the accessibility of the collection.

Curriculum Development - The nonprofit will partner with schools to form curriculum around the collection in the areas of African American history, race relations, sociology, psychology, creative writing, and English literature.
